Medical education
After military service in the medical corps, I began my medical training at the University of Göttingen. In parallel, I studied sports science. Both directed my interest towards sports traumatology and orthopedic medicine. While trained in various sports, I certified as ski instructor in the german ski association and for many years taught all kinds of winter sports in the Alps. Later, I focused on triathlon and became a medical doctor for the Ironman in Hawaii. Through scientific work at the sports institute of the Free University of Berlin, engagements at ISTAF, the Berlin Marathon and the World Athletics Championships, I gained broad knowledge in sports injuries and overuse disorders.
Following a specialization in sports orthopedics surgery, I received an additional medical degree in osteopathy. Hence, my medical career has been equally influenced by the biomechanics of orthopedic medicine and the philosophy of osteopathy. I strongly believe that the body, the brain and every cell are holding the key to biological self-healing. With respect for nature and with advanced arthroscopic procedures, we can help the body to cure and reduce the effects of aging. |
Lifetime learning and curiosityI strive to provide my patients with the best and most recent treatment options, so I regularly attend surgical and osteopathy training at clinics throughout Europe. Furthermore, I follow annual specialisation classes from AGA, ESSKA, DGOM, DGOU and DVSE to deepen my expertise on current advances and research.
My goal is to bring my patients muscloskeletal system back to their activities. A lifetime of pain free motion is a real treasure and we need to be conscientious about this. |

Patient reviewsWhile patient reviews are very valuable for those seeking a practitioner, the feedback from my existing patients helps me to continuously better the medical care I provide.
